We are in LOVE with our new body care line, Barr.Co. The packaging is clean and simple, ultra-classic and unabashedly preppy. The scent is soft, neutral, and perfectly unisex- something that recalls the clean and understated style of Meg Ryan back in her You've Got Mail days (and those were the days)...

It's a joyful day when fun packages arrive in the mail! A few good things that arrived yesterday: faux bois wrapping paper and diamond magnets from Paper Source to start, and a beautifully crafted felt banner from my friend Amy.
PS- instagram has been my friend lately, hope you agree.

I love these photos from the Country Living article Rose Bredl did with Kevin Reiner a few years back. They're still so pretty and cozy- I thought I would re-share them with you here. Fresh tulips and hydrangeas are so inviting paired with hot pink ribbon and fresh greenery. It's the perfect fresh and cozy christmas, I'd say. You can see the rest of the here.

We've been working hard to get the shop ready for Christmas, and now it is chock full of soft and magical holiday surprises! Come visit us today and support small business saturday. There are so many other great stores in the Short North, too!
The Christmas season has officially begun! To kick it off we thought we'd share the Christmas tree we decorated for the current issue of Capital Style magazine. Fresh fruit and flowers, pinecones, garden roses, rose hips, magnolia and twinkle lights deck our tree for a fresh and cozy look that is all natural. We loved seeing all of the beautiful and unique takes done by the other participants as well!
We are so grateful on this day for all of the blessings that have been given to us. First and foremost, the many friends and family who support our business; the people who offer hugs and and advice, time, encouragement, inspiration and enthusiasm. Remember today to be thankful for all that you have, and be sure to remember those in this world who do not have. Oh- and eat, drink and be merry, too!
PS- the photo is courtesy our dear friend Betsy from a Thanksgiving past (flowers by RB)
Being thankful is good for you. Good for you heart, good for your soul. Funny how just seeing other people express thanks makes you thankful... and your heart gets warm and fuzzy. Rose Bredl is all about thankfulness (and warm fuzziness)
Bulbs have arrived at Rose Bredl! Beautifully planted amaryllis and paperwhite bulbs make great hostess gifts for the holidays. Their fragrance and color are such a treat this time of year, and they require very little fussing once they're planted.
PS- Here's a tip we learned from a friend Nick: If you don't want your paperwhite to grow too tall and topple over, change the plants regular water to a 5% alcohol solution once the plants is about 2" high. You'll get a shorter plant but the flowers will be just as large (and just as delightful smelling!)
