These couldn't be more me if I had created them myself. However, they were made by Mandy and Kate of Belle and Boo. So v. cute. That being said, with the snow thick on the ground I thought another snowy-themed post would be appropriate... get excited though, Rose Bredl has some exciting spring-inspired posts on the way!
While waiting for Mary to return from her camping trip, I've been reading other blogs like crazy. Today's post is inspired by Oh Joy!, who posted about Ici in Berkeley today. Jeni's Splendid Ice cream is Columbus' proudest dairy accomplishment (and happens to be right up the street from Rose Bredl). With interesting flavors like Thai Chili and Queen City Cayenne one simply cannot resist! Don't worry, if you aren't local, you can buy Jeni's Ice cream here- Dean & Deluca.com.
Lucky for local brides, Martha Stewart's preferred cake baker Wendy Kromer lives and operates her business from her hometown of Sandusky, Ohio. From my personal experience with her, Wendy is not only extremely talented, but down to earth and adorable to boot. Her woodland cake (above) would be perfect for a February or March wedding...so sweet.
mmmm- of course because it is the new year and I am watching what I eat, Pistacia Vera's parisian macarons are calling my name. I'm so glad a taste of Laduree's famous macarons are just a short hop to German Village. And can we say cute wedding favor, anyone?
These ceramic pieces in clean and bright white are so inspiring for a new year! Frances Palmer's handmade pieces (pictured with green background) have always had a place in our hearts. They're quirky and different but still completely elegant. Alyssa Ettinger's cable knit pottery is a recent discovery, and we love it! I think both designers' pieces would make cute valentines gifts.
After seeing her work in the current issue of Martha Stewart Weddings, we are absolutely head over heels for the gorgeous photography of Keri Herer. Being a flower and garden shop, we love her pictures of botanicals, but her blog features darling photos of her family (including her puppies) too. Her photos can be found on etsy.com to purchase- a great gift for a bridesmaid or even your mom/sister.
Rose Bredl is the only store in Columbus to carry both k hall and cheree berry! We are so fortunate that these two creative geniuses partnered on some amazing letterpress notecards. (now available in our store). We love cheree berry, she's a midwest girl who once designed for Kate Spade. Check her out at www.chereeberry.com.
